"Did you know? by NK Particle"TM links

  • The Fray Ormandy Home Page houses more spurious information about "Did you know? by NK Particle"(TM), and a daily updated Bon Mot, with hyperlinked attributes.

  • We've been recently profiled by David Weinshilboum for the Davis Enterprise in a cover story in their Weekend supplement.

  • We won honorable mention in the Sacramento Comic Press News' Annual Cartoon Contest in 1999, second place in 1998, and third place in 1997, for the non-political category. We've peaked!

Other Artists and Websites We Like

  • Mark Ryden is a painter whose subjects are Christina Ricci and similar-looking girls, juxtaposed with slabs of raw red meat, bumblebees, Catholic imagery, Chinese calligraphy, bunny rabbit dolls, and the Emancipator himself, Abraham Lincoln. Eerie. If we could only afford even just a lithograph of his paintings--but maybe you can help us out with that...

  • J. Otto Seibold has an unmistakable two-dimensional graphic style, looking like cut-outs of intensely saturated hues of paper. He's the "Olive, The Other Reindeer" dude!

  • Ray Troll makes linoleum block prints of what he knows and likes best--fish and fishing. And he gets to live in Ketchikan, Alaska! Spawn till you die!

  • Jim Woodring draws Frank, experiencing non-linear tales in a surrealistic, unforgiving landscape, and sometimes he draws himself in non-linear situations in his mundane, middle-class family life. Everything is brightly colored, rounded, banded, soft, and streamlined, and just tweaked enough to pervade your troubled dreams tonight.

Sites that Suck (in a Good Way)

  • Catherine Skidmore maintains www.suck-my-big.org, a look into her hectic life as a semi-freelancer on the forefront of the media explosion of the Internet. And is that a cool domain name or what?

  • Terry Colon is the resident cartoonist at www.suck.com. Teamed with writer Polly Ester, they take a no-holds-barred look at modern pop culture in their collaborative web-comic appearing every Wednesday.
